Excellence Shines at IFME Awards
The chapter took a step toward normalcy with the return of our annual tradition of recognizing standout members at the 2021 IFME Awards, July 22, at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. Presented by Chapter President Lisa Wells, FMP, Awards Committee Chair Sara Rivera and committee member Joshua Keele, the awards honored members and business partners for their contributions during a challenging year.
We congratulate our roster of outstanding nominees and recipients.
Rookie of the Year
The Rookie should be a person who has supported and promoted IFMA objectives, actively participated in committee work, chapter meetings and other activities that support and promote the facility management profession and the DFW Chapter.
Nominees
Kim Solcruz, Southern Botanical
Luke Hollingsworth, Dynamic National
Christi Sherman, CEI Roofing
Recipient
Luke Hollingsworth, Dynamic National - Luke joined the chapter in 2020 and jumped in with both feet. In 2021, Luke’s built a committee of 24 eager volunteers who organized our first-ever chapter blood drive and a back-to-school drive for children in need.
Facility Manager of the Year
This professional member should be a person who has illustrated strong facility management practices in their organization. The nominee has promoted growth and change of the profession within their organization and others in the industry.
Nominees
Tony Gallo, Fannie Mae
Didi Wykes, Facebook
Philip Jabour, Hunt Consolidated
Recipient
Philip Jabour, Hunt Consolidated - Despite the added demands of overseeing a facility portfolio during the pandemic and Snowmageddon 2021, Philip fully embraced his role as Programs Committee Chair. A member since 2018, Philip met the challenge and developed and delivered virtual programs for members while we were unable to meet in person.
Business Partner of the Year
This person is chosen not only for the time involved in volunteering for our Chapter, but most importantly the integrity of their participation.

Mackenzie Beldon, Beldon Roofing Company
Dewayne Holley, GBS Group
Josh Keel, JK Janitorial Services
Recipient
Dewayne Holley, GBS Group - Dewayne’s been an active volunteer since joining the chapter in 2015 and now chairs the Membership Committee. He welcomes and encourages each new member and fields countless inquiries from potential members. He’s developed innovative new-member events and donated his company’s services to sanitize golf carts at the Chapter golf tournament.
President's Award
This award is presented at the President’s discretion.
Recipient
Bill Parker, American Food & Vending
Bill joined the chapter in 2015 and immediately began contributing in many ways—from chairing the Golf Committee and becoming a preferred business partner to serving as Board Secretary. President Lisa Wells shared these thoughts about Bill’s contributions. “During a challenging year, I was touched by Bill’s diligence and commitment. He helped us navigate through difficult things and land on good ideas that took everyone into consideration.”
