Community Affairs Blood Drive May Impact 111 Lives
The June 27th and 29th two-day IFMA DFW Blood Drive, coordinated by the Community Affairs Committee, was a success.
On the first day of the drive, Carter BloodCare collected 20 units of blood from 20 donors at Dallas Bible Church, 15765 Hillcrest Rd., Dallas. IFMA DFW Member Jimmy Tricket, CFM, SFP, FMP, who is Director of Facilities for the church and served as site organizer, said 20 units of blood has the potential to impact the lives of 60 patients.
According to IFMA DFW Member Lindsey Trevino, the site organizer for the second day of the drive, 19 donors registered to donate blood at American Fire Protection Group, 10575 Vista Park Rd., Dallas, where she works as Inspections Account Manager. Carter BloodCare collected 17 units of blood which may impact up to 51 lives in the community.
